EETC Announces Changes to Technician Certification Testing

The Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) has a new Certification Test Center and contact number for the technician certification tests. By calling (262) 369-4334, technicians can get all the information needed to take the certification tests.

This change is an ongoing method for the EETC to better serve the industry by streamlining the administration of the tests. The EETC will now have complete control over the entire certification testing process, including the tests, proctors and the administration portion of the tests. The EETC will also have instant access to all of the data, allowing for faster processing of the tests and quicker response time for questions.

All of the updated information about technician certification can be found on the EETC’sWebsiteatwww.eetc.org. Following is the new EETC Certification Test Center contact information:

The EETC would like to thank the Outdoor Power Equipment and Engine Service Association (OPEESA) for its years of service administrating the tests. The EETC would especially like to thank Nancy Cueroni and Kathy Harris for all of their hard work and dedication that they put into the administration process.

Founded in 1997, the EETC is a non-profit association whose goal is to address the shortage of qualified service technicians in the outdoor power equipment industry. Made up of more than 450 industry professionals, including manufacturers, distributors, dealers, associations and educators, the EETC strives to certify professional power equipment technicians capable of servicing today’s sophisticated power equipment products.

In order to meet these needs, the EETC developed the EETC Technician Certification program to measure the skill level of repair technicians working in the industry today, as well as an EETC School Accreditation program to accredit those schools that have an outstanding OPE technician training course. The EETC is dedicated to “serving the power equipment industry through education, testing and certification.”
