Brockway to lead John Deere commercial marketing and sales

John Deere recently announced the appointment of Dan Brockway as manager of commercial segment marketing and sales for the United States and Canada. His primary responsibilities will include leading strategic and tactical marketing efforts, as well the commercial sales organization in the field. Brockway will work closely with the sales branches and the marketing and sales support teams across the Commercial & Consumer Equipment Division.


“Our business-to-business segment continues to be a strong growth market for John Deere and we remain dedicated to providing our green industry professionals everything they need to complete jobs and run successful businesses,” said Gregg Breningmeyer, director, commercial segment marketing and sales. “Dan has been a change agent throughout his career, and we’re looking forward to having his leadership skills on the commercial side of the division.”


Brockway joined John Deere in 1976 as a marketing representative in Dallas. Throughout his tenure, he has held several leadership roles, including territory manager, dealer development manager, region sales manager, marketing services manager, manager of customer support, and manager dealer planning. He was instrumental in implementing the division’s automatic replenishment system and the Gold Star program.


Most recently, Brockway served as manager of marketing development, where he worked with the sales branches on delivering marketing and sales programs to the field.


Brockway graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Business Management, and earned his MBA from Duke University in 1999.
