Ariens, The Home Depot broaden partnership

Ariens Company and The Home Depot (THD) have entered into an expanded partnership to sell Ariens-branded lawn and garden equipment in retail stores beginning in the spring of 2009. Ariens Sno-Thro products have been sold in THD stores since 1998.

“Throughout our 10-year partnership with THD, we have worked together to create a successful strategy for our Sno-Thro products,” said Dan Ariens, president and CEO of the Ariens Company. “We are confident that The Home Depot is the exclusive mass channel partner that is right for the Ariens brand, and we look forward to introducing Depot customers to Ariens products year-round.”

THD stores will offer a full line of Ariens lawn and garden products, including lawn tractors, zero-turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, tillers and log splitters. The products will be available in THD stores for the 2009 season, as well as online at www.homedepot.com.

“The volume opportunity with The Home Depot allows us to bring additional products to market and ultimately expand and grow the Ariens brand,” said Ariens.

This partnership does not involve Ariens Company’s Gravely brand of equipment, which will continue to be sold through independent power equipment retailers, according to Ariens.
