Stihl hires manager of manufacturing engineering

 

 Matthias WolfStihl Inc. announced the appointment of Matthias Wolf to the position

of manager of manufacturing engineering July 7. In his new role, Wolf will be responsible for providing and implementing manufacturing methodology, controlling tool and equipment designs and specifications, and estimating and relating engineering data to achieve the most economical manufacture of parts and products.


Wolf joins Stihl with more than 10 years of management experience. In his most recent position, he served as vice president for the American subsidiary of Hengst Automotive, where he was responsible for analyzing technology, resource needs and market demands, as well as planning projects and overseeing development. Prior to Hengst, Wolf was the general manager of Imperial Schrade Europe Ltd. in Listowel County Kerry, Ireland.


Wolf received a master’s degree in mechanical and electronic engineering from the Technical University of Berlin in Berlin, Germany, as well as a certification in accounting and finance from the Midlands Technical College in Columbia, S.C.
