Maruyama conducts first North American distributor council meeting

 

Maruyama Distributor Council members, left to right, are Rick Roberts, Robert Smith, Steve Purdy, Jack Ball and Donald Marquis.Maruyama U.S. Inc. conducted its first North American distributor council meeting June 11-14 in St. Louis, Mo. At the meeting, Maruyama distributor executives discuss both immediate and long-term strategic plans and goals such as market development and exciting dealer incentive programs.


The council consisted of five principles chosen to represent their respective regions for a two-year term. Council members were as follows: Steve Purdy, president, Oscar Wilson Engines & Parts Inc., O’Fallon, Mo.; Jack Ball, sales manager, Tru-Power, Inc., Corona, Calif.; Rick Roberts, executive vice president and director of sales, Roberts Supply, Inc., Winter Park, Fla.; Robert Smith, vice president, Smiths South-Central Sales Company, Springhill, La.; and Donald Marquis, sales manager, Theo Turgeon, Inc., Quebec, Canada.



According to Purdy, distributor council meeting chairman-elect, “I was indeed honored to have been selected to serve on Maruyama’s distributor advisory council. I’m deriving a ton of energy from these new working relationships coupled with the vast opportunity that I see before us in growing the Maruyama brand.”
