Maruyama names Anderson as western regional sales manager

 Ben AndersonMaruyama U.S., Inc. announced the hiring of Ben Anderson as regional sales manager for the western region of North America on March 2. He resides in Gilroy, Calif.

A sales professional with more than 10 years of field experience, Anderson has an extensive background selling and servicing pumps for agriculture purposes primarily with nurseries and row crop farms, including local wineries. He also has excellent sales and technical experience with pumps and sprayer sales within the chemical application industry, as well as several OPE handheld product lines, including Stihl, Echo and Shindaiwa.

Prior to joining Maruyama, Anderson was the parts and OPE department manager at C&N Tractor located in Paso Robles, Calif., and Berchtold Equipment Company in Santa Maria, Calif. Besides being responsible for maintaining a well-stocked parts inventory and product merchandising, Anderson was instrumental in training the sales staff at both operations in understanding the application limitations of pumps, and developing sales strategies on qualifying customers to match them with the best product for their specific applications and for increased sales at the retail level.
