Rotary Corporation opens new Midwest distribution facility

Rotary Corporation will open a new regional distribution center in Evansville, Ind., during July 2011, providing customers in a seven-state area with next-day service on most shipments. The new Midwest regional facility will become Rotary’s eighth distribution center in the United States.

“Our expanded distribution system will improve delivery capability, enhance inventory capacity, and drive innovation through technology to make customer service better than ever,” said Ed Nelson, president and CEO of Rotary. “With Evansville as the latest addition to our distribution network, we are well positioned to extend next-day delivery to a multi-state region and beyond.”

Nelson said that based on 2010 data for shipments within the continental United States, Rotary provides next-day delivery to 80 percent of the nation and 48-hour delivery to 98 percent of the country.

“We take exceptional pride in providing fast, reliable service for our servicing dealers,” he continued. “We are also proud of our fill rate, which is approximately 95 percent on parts orders and considered to be among the highest in our industry.”

Nelson added, “Over the years, our company has built a brand that is supported by quality, value and service. To ensure continued success, every aspect of our business is dependent upon our ability to support, deliver, and serve our customers on a daily basis with the very best we have to offer.”

Rotary processes and fills most orders the same day they are received with shipping from regional distribution centers in Glennville, Ga.; Largo, Fla.; Richmond, Va.; Albany, N.Y.; Columbus, Ohio; Mesquite, Texas; and Fresno, Calif., in addition to the newest facility in Evansville. Other alternate shipping centers are strategically located throughout the United States.

Considered the world’s largest aftermarket supplier of outdoor power equipment parts, Rotary offers more than 8,500 different items, including hundreds of new listings for 2011. Founded in 1957, the company serves customers in all 50 states and 68 countries worldwide.
