Kawasaki’s Engine and Power Products Division adds user-friendly improvements to its website

Helping to make navigation of its website simpler for visitors, the Engine and Power Products Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., announced Aug. 9 that it has made improvements to its website at www.kawpower.com.

Most changes to the website are geared toward improving visitor navigation, with the addition of roll-over drop-down menus and fewer steps being required to find a specific product. The site allows quick access to information about the company’s engines — including online manuals for 4-cycle engines — and  various handheld power products categories. Kawasaki markets nine different engine subgroups, and the site provides details on each, as well as seven different handheld products categories. It also offers information regarding parts, warranty, and other service details underneath a labeled “support” tab.

According to Tiffany Young, marketing supervisor, the site includes linkage to social media inclusive of Facebook and Twitter, and has also incorporated the use of YouTube to provide an easily accessible home for its many informational and instructional videos. She said that the company will continue to populate that component of the site “because we’ve found that our audience is very interested in understanding the products through visual demonstrations.”

Another key change to www.kawpower.com is the ability for visitors to use the site for product comparisons.

Easy-to-use check-off boxes make head-to-head product specification comparisons a snap. And, the dealer locator makes it easy to then find a local retailer of the selected product.

Young said the site will continue to evolve and other improvements are slated for 2012.
