Kubota targets turf care pros with new Z700-Series zero-turn mower

At GIE+EXPO 2013, Kubota Tractor Corporation announced the expansion of its turf care offerings with the new Z700-Series. Available at dealerships nationwide this winter, the new series includes three models — Z723, Z724 and Z725 — equipped with a rugged 6-inch-deep commercial deck in 48-, 54- and 60-inch cutting widths. Engineered to deliver top-quality results day in and day out, Kubota’s Z700-Series is specifically designed for turf care professionals looking for a high-quality, dependable mower at a competitive price point. Kubota will introduce this mower with an attractive $7,799 starting promotional price.

“For turf care professionals, adding a new mower to their fleet is like adding a new member to their crew,” said Christine Chapman, turf product manager for Kubota. “Turf professionals are looking for productive and reliable equipment that will not only yield professional results, but also decrease downtime during long days on the job. The Z700-Series does this and more, while providing the unmatched level of high quality that Kubota is best known for.”

As Kubota’s fastest zero-turn mower, the Z700-Series provides professional-grade results, and is designed intuitively for easy operation and increased productivity. With powerful Kohler Command V-Twin engines, the Z700-Series is a true workhorse, boasting a heavy-duty integrated Parker 14-cc pump and wheel motor system. Each model in the series is equipped with a commercial-grade Parker Torqpact GT14 transmission that delivers maximum power to the wheels, and an 11.6-gallon fuel-tank capacity offers more hours of continuous use with minimal downtime for refueling. The instrument control panel is ergonomically positioned for easy access to the controls, and a foot parking brake that can be locked and released from the operator’s seat offers additional convenience. Adjusting cutting height is virtually effortless with Kubota’s convenient deck height adjustment dial.

All three models in the Z700-Series come standard with maintenance features designed to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The engine area is unobstructed for easy access to maintenance points, and the battery can be reached by simply lifting the seat panel. The front tires are “flat free” caster tires, and sealed greaseless spindles are standard equipment, creating less time in the shop in between jobs. Plus, an optional maintenance lift kit attachment acts like a built-in jack, making routine maintenance underneath the mower quick and simple.

The Z700-Series comes equipped with comfort features designed to minimize operator fatigue. Those features include a wide operator platform for more legroom; a padded, high-back, adjustable seat for added comfort; and a convenient storage box and cup holder to help keep operators hydrated and productive. The Kubota Z700-Series is also designed with operator safety in mind; its low center of gravity increases stability, and standard safety features include a roll-over protective structure (ROPS) and retractable seat belt. Several optional kits designed to maximize productivity are available with the Z700-Series, including a grass catcher, mulching kit, maintenance kit, seat suspension kit, operator control discharge chute, towing hitch and LED working light.

Kubota’s Z700-Series mowers are covered by a comprehensive two-year, unlimited hours, manufacturer warranty on both the mower and the engine.
