Rotary becomes NHLA supporting member

Rotary Corporation, a global aftermarket supplier of outdoor power equipment parts, tools and accessories, has become a supporting member of the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA), an association that facilitates and promotes the advancement of Hispanics as landscape industry professionals and leaders.


“Rotary recognizes the growing impact of Hispanic-Americans in the landscape industry and supports the efforts of NHLA to encourage high standards of professionalism and leadership within their ranks,” said Ed Nelson, president and CEO of Rotary Corporation.


“It is estimated that more than one-half million U.S. Hispanic families depend on landscaping for their livelihood,” he continued. “With the support of companies like ours, NHLA can do an effective job of educating customers, public officials and others about the important role of Hispanic-Americans in the landscape industry.”


Through its efforts, the NHLA seeks to inform, encourage, empower, and support its members so that they can become highly successful professionals, better-engaged leaders and more effective industry advocates. Additionally, the NHLA works with elected officials and policy makers to address issues that affect the landscape industry and the livelihood of landscape company owners and their employees.

The spiraling growth of the Hispanic-American workforce within the U.S. landscape industry has, by some estimates, reached 80 percent of the entire landscape workforce. NHLA membership helps Rotary connect to one of the industry’s youngest and fastest-growing market segments. Rotary joins other NHLA supporting members, which include Briggs & Stratton Corporation, Caterpillar, Cub Cadet, Honda Power Equipment, John Deere and Kohler Engines.
