Altoz, Briggs & Stratton collaborate on mower

Altoz, a Greenbush, Minn.-based manufacturer of high-performance commercial zero-turn mowers, announced on June 17 a collaboration with Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power, a leading provider of commercial power solutions, that will see the all-new 810-cc Vanguard engine aboard Altoz’s XP Z model mower.


The Altoz line of precision mowers and the 810-cc Vanguard engine made their industry debuts last fall, with both being recognized for their attention to detail, craftsmanship and quality. Available in 54- or 61-inch-deck models, the Altoz XP Z model is part of Altoz’s expansive product lineup that includes innovative zero-turn mowers engineered to meet the growing demands of discerning homeowners and professionals throughout the lawn care industry. The XP Z features the Aero Deck High Output System to ensure a precision cut; SmarTrac Monitoring System to keep the operator informed; an ergonomic and adjustable suspension seat for a smooth ride; and thanks to the Vanguard V-Twin engine, a durable and high-performing power plant to help make quick work in tough conditions.

The distinctive 810-cc Vanguard V-Twin power plant produces 26 gross hp. while also increasing torque. The result is an engine that is ready to power through even the toughest conditions with efficiency and dependability.

All Altoz zero-turn mowers, as well as Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power and Vanguard’s 810-cc V-Twin engines, are proudly designed by a team of dedicated engineers and manufactured in the United States.
