Honda Power Equipment sponsors Quarter Midgets of America Youth Racing

Honda Power Equipment has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Quarter Midgets of America (QMA) to support fun and exciting racing for children between 5 and 17 years of age.  Honda Generators, Honda Engines and Honda Performance Development (HPD) are working together to assist QMA in its efforts to make racing a reality for young racers, and have been doing so since 1995.

During this season of QMA racing, Honda Engines will be the Title Engine of the QMA Eastern Grand Nationals, Honda Performance Development will be the title sponsor of the QMA Western Grand Nationals, and Honda Generators will be the Title Generator of the QMA Dirt Nationals. At the Grand Nationals, Honda Generators will be the exclusive generator of the race, providing power to meet the needs of the QMA.

As an official sponsor, Honda Engines and Honda Generators will host an interactive exhibit at each QMA Grand event, with company representatives available to answer questions and provide support to race participants, their families and fans.

The upcoming racing season is especially meaningful for the Honda relationship with QMA on two fronts: Honda GX120 and GX160 engines are used in quarter midget racers, and this year marks introduction of the new Honda-sponsored “Speed King” Trophy in victory circle. This special trophy has been created to honor Dave King, a Honda Engines associate who dedicated almost 20 years of his career to support QMA activities until his passing in 2012. It will be awarded to every Grands A main class winner.

“Providing support to the QMA allows Honda Power Equipment and our associates to be a part of the youthful spirit of racing,” said Alex Torre, marketing manager, Honda Power Equipment. “Honda understands the value of racing at all levels, and the impact of events that develop enthusiasts for a lifetime.”
