EETC releases student career recruitment video

The Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) announced on Sept. 2 the release of its Power Equipment Technology Student Career Recruitment video to its website and YouTube Channel.

“The Power Equipment Technology Student Career Recruitment video is a great resource for school counselors and educators,” said EETC Executive Director Erik Sides. “The short 8-minute video highlights the overall power equipment industry, the type of training required, its career paths, and rewards of working in this great industry.”

The video can be found on the EETC’s website at www.eetc.org or on the Equipment & Engine Training Council’s YouTube Channel. The EETC plans to release a second video geared toward adults interested in seeking careers in the power equipment industry. The EETC asks that you promote or share this video (via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or e-mail) and link it from your company or organization’s website.

Founded in 1997, the Equipment & Engine Training Council Inc. is a non-profit association whose goal is to address the shortage of qualified service technicians in the outdoor power equipment industry. Made up of more than 2,800 industry professionals, including manufacturers, distributors, dealers, associations, technicians and educators, the EETC is striving to create professional outdoor power equipment technicians for today’s sophisticated OPE products. In order to meet these needs, the association has developed the EETC Technician Certification program to measure the skill level of repair technicians currently working in the industry. It has also developed the EETC School Accreditation program to establish industry standards and provide a network of industry support for high schools and colleges that have started or are looking to start an outdoor power equipment program, training future technicians.
