Mahindra North America gives away 17th tractor in 2015 to a first responder

It’s been a year of giving for Mahindra North America as the Houston, Texas-based company announced December 30 the donation of its 17th tractor or XTV in 2015 to a first responder. Mike Reed, an active volunteer firefighter for 25 years in Levering, Mich., was the lucky recipient of a Mahindra eMax 22 subcompact tractor with a front-end loader in the Mahindra Tractors First Responders Celebration, presented by Outdoor Channel. Reed, who serves his community as a volunteer firefighter, works a full-time job, and is also a cattle rancher, received his eMax 22 from Zaremba’s Equipment, a Mahindra dealer in Gaylord, Mich.

“Mahindra is privileged to have the opportunity to donate tractors and XTVs to many deserving people over the course of this year through a variety of military, first-responder and community initiatives,” said Cleo Franklin, vice president, marketing and strategic planning, Mahindra North America. “We are pleased to show our appreciation to Mike with this eMax; we are sure it will be put to good use in his cattle ranching operation. We are fortunate to have dedicated first responders, such as Mike, who bravely serve the communities in which we live and work. Recognizing this service is part of Mahindra’s commitment to our Rise philosophy of driving positive change and empowering people to Rise for good.”

This promotion was open to any U.S. first responders, active or retired law enforcement, firefighter or EMT, and it provided the opportunity to win a Mahindra eMax 22 Gear subcompact tractor with front-end loader. This tractor giveaway is one element of Mahindra’s First Responders Appreciation Program that also includes special discounts on purchases of a tractor and qualifying implements. This is one of the many special programs created by Mahindra to support and thank the people who bravely serve in their communities.
