IEDA names three to board of directors

The Independent Equipment Dealers Association (IEDA) announced the addition of three new members to its board of directors during IEDA’s annual meeting and expo Feb. 15 in Orlando, Fla. The new members are as follows: Brian Pokrajec from Peps Equipment in San Jacinto, Calif.; Cori Peterson from Headwater Equipment Sales in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; and Maxx Miller from Trophy Tractor in Grand Prairie, Texas. Members of the IEDA board of directors serve a maximum of two consecutive years and are responsible for establishing industry best practices and quality used equipment standards.

Outgoing board members include Mark Pentz from Calvin Group Inc. in Windsor, Colo.; Jeff Miller from Trophy Tractor in Grand Prairie, Texas; and Jim Seale from Prima International Trading in Fayetteville, N.Y. During the annual meeting, all three retiring board members were presented with the IEDA Leadership Award, which is given to outgoing board members annually for their contribution to the organization.

“Every single IEDA board member plays a significant role in the development of policy and best practices for this exclusive group of independent dealers,” said Kristen Williams, IEDA’s executive director. “Board members are ‘vetted’ just as members are, with a focus on recruiting individuals who will bring a fresh perspective and experience to our board. This highly qualified group of standard and associate IEDA members take their affiliation with the group very seriously, as do the board members who represent them. We are looking forward to a very productive year ahead.”
