Briggs and Stratton Corporation launches social media contest

Briggs & Stratton Corporation is on the hunt for powerful stories. To help launch the company’s new “YOU.POWERED.” brand tagline, Briggs & Stratton is turning to social media with a contest asking their 70-plus million customers or owners to submit their stories about doing powerful things with outdoor power equipment for their neighbors, communities, or even in their own yards.

Five winners will each get $3,000 to help fund their powerful project, plus a new piece of outdoor power equipment from Briggs & Stratton.

“Briggs & Stratton is the brand that provides power to help people get work done to achieve their goals, and our new YOU.POWERED. focus reflects that,” said Steve Kruger, director of global brand marketing at Briggs & Stratton. “We have heard great stories for years about neighbors helping neighbors by snow blowing a driveway or mowing a lawn or even entire communities getting together to clean up a park. These are the types of stories we want to hear about and celebrate. These are the types of stories that inspire us and others.”

To enter, simply upload a photo or video and include a brief description of yourself or somebody you think deserves recognition for a powerful achievement or undertaking.
