Registration is now open for the 2016 Green Industry & Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO), and with the combination of new features, many exhibitors expanding their booths, and travel discounts, it’s shaping up to be even bigger than last year’s record-setting year. The annual trade show is set for Oct. 19-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, and online registration is available at www.gie-expo.com.
Attendees can expect to see more new products than ever as many exhibitors have signed on for larger booths to allow space to showcase their latest innovations. Among the companies increasing space are Kohler Engines, Husqvarna, Hustler Turf, Mean Green Mowers, Avant Tecno USA Inc., Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc., Yamaha Motor Corporation USA, Ningbo LERA, JCB, Bobcat, Colombia Outdoor Power Equipment, Arctic Snow and Ice, and Mitsubishi Fuso.
“This show brings together such a wide variety of industry stakeholders and provides a rare opportunity to view the latest and greatest product innovations — all under one roof,” said Mark Johansen, director of marketing, Kohler Engines. “We’ve participated from the very beginning and will be expanding our booth as part of our ongoing commitment to engage attendees in unique and memorable ways.”
New on the lineup for dealers, UTV University will provide valuable advice and tools for UTV dealers. These education sessions will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The education program will have a trade focus and feature classroom-based sessions conducted by recognized powersports industry experts, including Mark Mooney, the most highly scored speaker at powersports industry events. Topics will include building profits in each dealership department with UTV sales, as well as merchandising to increase line-item sales. UTV University will also feature a roundtable discussion with UTV manufacturers and industry leaders. The complete schedule will be announced soon.
Also, back by popular demand, Bob Clements and his team of dealership consultants will offer five free workshops in the Dealer Resource Pavilion. The pavilion will be in a new location on the show floor, allowing dealers easier access to the exclusive area. In addition to workshops, dealers will find a showroom and a parts & service department where they can get tips on how to create high-performance dealerships, maximize their budgets, and more. The Dealer Resource Pavilion will be open all three days of the show.
