Renowned explorer Dr. Robert Ballard to address dealers at GIE+EXPO and HNA 2018
Dr. Robert Ballard, the undersea explorer who discovered the Titanic wreckage, will deliver a keynote address for dealers and exhibitors at GIE+EXPO and Hardscape North America, the industry’s largest gathering. The session, set for Wednesday, October 17, 10:30 – Noon, is sponsored by Stihl Inc. Admission to the keynote is included with trade show registration.

One of the greatest undersea explorers of our times, Ballard is best known for his discovery of the RMS Titanic in 1985, more than 70 years after it sank. He has conducted more than 140 deep sea expeditions, including the first manned exploration of the Mid-Ocean Ridge, and is credited with discovering many key chapters of human history, such as German Battleship “Bismarck” and President John F. Kennedy’s PT-109. He is a well-known author, a film producer of documentaries, an Explorer in Residence for the National Geographic Society, and past host of their TV program “Explorer.”
In this presentation, the oceanographer and former U.S. Navy officer will share his stories of exploration, environmental discovery and leadership.

Please note that Dr. Ballard will present two separate keynote presentations at GIE+EXPO. As mentioned above, the keynote for dealers and exhibitors will take place from 10:30 a.m.-Noon on October 17, while a keynote for landscape and hardscape contractors will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. on October 17.
