OPEI hosting ISO and IEC at OPEI building

As part of Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) member efforts to advance and promote global standards setting, OPEI is hosting at its building meetings of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) May 6-10, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) the weeks of Oct. 21 and 28. Expected to attend the ISO meetings are expert delegations from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States. According to OPEI, members have for decades relied on OPEI as an ANSI-accredited Standard Developing Organization and administrator of U.S. representation and positions to provide U.S. manufacturer and public stakeholder expertise to these international fora. In these efforts, OPEI members share the common goal of maintaining global safety and performance requirements that reflect the current state-of-art while also minimizing and/or eliminating disparities across markets.
