With summer arriving and our thoughts turning to working outside in the garden once again, let us remind you about an event that should already be on your schedule. Even more international, even more diversified, even more visitors: Year after year spoga+gafa impressively demonstrates its standing as the largest garden trade fair in the world.
Cologne is the place to be for everyone who wants to make something happen in the garden. The diversity of the garden at spoga+gafa is unique worldwide. Whether it comes down to the latest trends in plants, high-quality furniture for the garden or the latest grill equipment, the trade fair covers the entire offer of the industry at a glance. The clearly structured sections garden living, garden creation & care, garden bbq and garden unique ensure a complete overview.
This year, spoga+gafa will take place from Sunday, September 1 to Tuesday, September 3 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
Spoga+gafa 2019 promises to be better than ever. The internationalization strategy of spoga+gafa continues to flourish: applications had already been received from 59 countries by the early bird deadline and interest from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the United States was very strong at the end of the first application deadline for exhibitors. The focus of the exhibitors and the trade fair conception in 2019 is on the theme of “City Gardening” – gardening without a garden.
In addition to the trusted formats, the event program of spoga+gafa will set new focuses and highlights in the garden and plant sections. Alongside the successfully established “Boulevard of ideas” exhibitions (see sidebar), in the scope of the POS Green Solution Islands, the world’s largest garden trade fair in Cologne presents solutions for the design of sales space. Furthermore, with the aid of exhibitions and lecture forums, spoga+gafa places a focus on the trend themes of the garden industry in the scope of the Smart Gardening World, the IVG Power Place Akku and the Outdoor Kitchen World.
With stylized balconies, patios and urban useable areas, spoga+gafa makes attractive and communicative presentation areas available to its exhibitors that present the competencies of the products to users in their real use environment. International lectures and active product shows accompany the theme throughout the trade fair. Exhibitors thereby focus on solutions to themes like vacation watering. The offerings also focus on cultivation in a small space, as well as the smart lighting of the “City Oases.”

Along the Boulevard, in Passage 4/5 and hall 5.1 there will be presentations of five different scenarios that could be integrated into every shop.

The Forum Garten Café of the spoga+gafa 2018 will focus again on important topics for the entire garden industry. In cooperation with TASPO Magazine, spoga+gafa will present Taspo Talks, as well as several lectures on the headline topics “Specialist Trade,” “Digitization”, “Trends” and “Substrates and Fertilizers.”
