Kawasaki’s Maryville, Missouri plant celebrates 30 years

It’s rare when an engine manufacturer takes pride in achieving only one horsepower, but that’s exactly where the employees at Kawasaki’s Maryville, Missouri plant find themselves. In recognition of the company’s growth and commitment to helping the community, the City of Maryville renamed the street in front of the facility HORSEPOWER DRIVE, and the new address for the plant is #1 Horsepower Drive.

To meet growing demand, Kawasaki hired more than 130 new employees this year and added three automated high-speed machining cells. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Maryville production facility, and Anita Coulter, vice president/plant manager, credits the “amazing staff that continues to become more efficient and easily adapts to needs created by changes in the marketplace.”
