Makita returns as snocross race team sponsor

La Mirada, California-based Makita U.S.A., Inc. has announced the sponsorship renewal of one of snocross racing’s leading teams, Warnert Racing. The Makita / Rockstar Energy / Ski-Doo Racing team will compete in the International Series of Champions (ISOC) snocross racing season, which begins this weekend at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota, and continues through the next five months at closed-course tracks from New York to South Dakota.

“Our partnership with Warnert Racing, BRP Corporation, and Rockstar Energy allows us to connect with customers and grow business-to-business opportunities,” said Brent Withey, vice president of brand marketing, Makita U.S.A. “From cordless power tools in the race trailer to assembly tools used in manufacturing at BRP Corporation, Makita products are involved throughout the process of snocross. This and our longtime partnership is why we are proud to sponsor Warnert Racing.”

Warnert Racing enters the new season with top talent, including returning Pro Racer Adam Renheim and Pro Lite Racer Francis Pelletier, as well as newcomer Pro Racer Daniel Benham.

“We are excited to see the synergy within the Warnert Racing team and with our partners, on and off the snow,” said Mark Warnert, co-owner of the team. “Makita provides our technicians with the world’s best and most innovative power tools to keep our Factory Ski-Doo snowmobiles running, even in the coldest conditions.”

Makita also returns as the Official Power Tool of ISOC snocross racing. As an official sponsor, Makita will support the sport with a comprehensive media program and the Makita Power Tower, the elevated on-track race managers’ communication platform. Makita will be fully integrated into all races with on-site activation including demonstrations and displays, allowing snocross fans to see the latest in Makita innovation.

Makita’s sponsorship presence will extend beyond the race track. Makita teamed up with fellow sponsor BRP Corporation (Ski-Doo) to offer fans a chance to win a Makita Edition 2019 Can-Am Defender, as well as a 5-piece LXT Brushless Combo Kit and a Kicker® Bluetooth Speaker. The Rule the Outdoors Sweepstakes ends on Dec. 31.
