Why would your OPE dealership not take part in the #DollyPartonChallenge on social media?
We uncovered a gem of an Instagram post this week when we landed on Paul’s Lawn and Garden. The dealership, located in Massillon, Ohio, touts brands such as Ferris, Scag Power Equipment, Greenworks Commercial, Honda Power Equipment, Vortexx Pressure Washers, Echo, Simplicity, Husqvarna, Gravely, Snapper and EGO on its website.
As you can see, the shop spent about 2.5 minutes taking a photo in their shop that best personifies an image for each of the following social media channels: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder. And they are most often, as in the case of Paul’s Lawn and Garden’s attempt, absolutely hilarious.
The Facebook post had 135 likes and 17 shares to folks who otherwise might not have seen or heard about Paul’s Lawn and Garden on that particular day. Meanwhile, on Instagram, it picked up 40 more likes. We, um, don’t know of its Tinder reach!
Simply put, the shop took advantage of a viral social media trend and built its brand while doing so.
