Virtual open house allows dealer to connect with customers during COVID-19

If your dealership hasn’t yet used video messaging to reach your customers in this era of COVID-19, it’s an outlet worth considering.

Doug Nord of Nord Power Equipment in Bloomington, Illinois, provides a simple video from his dealership’s showroom floor that provides the latest store information related to COVID-19. One key takeaway is the use of tables in front of the checkout stations so that the customer and staff members keep their social distance.

While Nord’s annual open house has been postponed, the dealership instead is opting for a virtual open house this Friday. Every hour on Facebook Live, the dealership will showcase new products from a variety of brands, including Echo, Stihl, Toro and Smokin Brothers grills.

With Q2 now underway, what changes are you implementing to ensure customer service is at a level higher than it was in Q1? Are you reaching your customers via video? Can you place tables in front of your checkout stations for social distancing purposes? Let us know in the comments below.
