Wholegoods revenue trends in July at tractor dealerships revealed

Exclusive data for OPE Business readers from Constellation Data Solutions, a division of Constellation Dealership Group, shows Same Store Sales results at U.S. tractor dealerships for the month of July.

The composite data is pulled from dealerships that use Constellation’s Ideal and c-Systems DMS products. The Same Store Sales data compares July 2020 vs. July 2019 at 476 independent servicing tractor dealerships.

In the U.S., revenue from wholegoods sales at Constellation DMS tractor dealerships experienced an average increase of 21% during July. Dealerships in Canada experienced 33% wholegoods revenue growth on average.

Dealers in the Midwest region posted average wholegoods revenue growth of 49% in July vs. July 2019, while the West had a 33% increase. Dealers in the Northeast (9% increase) and South (8% increase) also on average posted wholegoods sales growth.

Here’s a breakdown by region by percentage of dealerships and their service department sales performance:

West: 24% up; 76% down

Midwest: 30% up, 70% down

Northeast: 38% up; 62% down

South: 32% up; 68% down

USA: 32% up; 68% down
