106K square-foot retail location is company’s fifth in state
It’ll be helpful for OPE dealerships to know that their competitive landscape just grew, with a ribbon cutting ceremony held this month that welcomed the fifth Blain’s Farm & Fleet retail location in Michigan.
The Standale, Michigan, store is located in the Standale Shopping District next to Meijer at the corner of Wilson Ave and Lake Michigan Ave. The new 106,000 square-foot store marks the fifth Blain’s Farm & Fleet location in Michigan.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Oct. 7 at the new location and included notable attendees, such as Chamber President Margie Lenau, Mayor Gary Carey, House Representative Mark Huizenga, State Senator Pete MacGregor, and Blain’s Farm and Fleet owner and president Jane Blain Gilbertson.
During the event held at the new location, Lenau, Carey and Gilbertson all spoke to the attendees, who enjoyed listening to the speakers while wearing masks and remaining properly socially distanced outdoors. Gilbertson’s speech was particularly glowing regarding the partnership with local officials and next-door neighbor Meijer.
“We have been so warmly welcomed into the community,” Gilbertson said. “Mayor Gary Carey has been a fantastic partner in bringing business to Standale and we couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor then the good people at Meijer.”
Blain’s Farm and Fleet contains a variety of products in many departments all under one roof including Lawn and Garden, Pet, Clothing and Footwear, Home Basics, Food and Beverages, Automotive, Farming and Livestock, Toys and Sporting Goods, just to name a few.
The building includes a state-of-the-art automotive center and a full drive-thru area which allows customers to pick up their purchase without leaving their vehicle by ordering with the Blain’s Farm and Fleet App or by visiting farmandfleet.com. In celebration of opening their new location, Blain’s Farm & Fleet is giving away a $5,000 dollar shopping spree. Customers can enter from Oct. 23 through Nov. 8.
