Tuskaloosa Lawn Equipment holds successful pest management seminar during off-season

OPE Business spoke with Russell Latner of Tuskaloosa Lawn Equipment recently, checking in to learn more about the dealership’s pest management seminar in January 2021. They’ve been offering off-season seminars for eight years, according to Latner, providing a free way for landscapers with a spraying license to achieve points towards keeping up their license each year.

While this year looked a little different — with the seminar conveniently set up for social distancing — they still saw a good turnout despite ongoing COVID-related restrictions.

We wanted to find out more about the event, how it impacts sales, and how they pull it off each year. Along the way, we also learned some exciting details about the firefighter-owned dealership and how it got started.
