Robin Autopilot Announces Plans to Relocate

Robin Autopilot, the robotic-mowing technology company and robotics as a service (RaaS) platform, has announced that it will be consolidating its Plano, Texas, corporate headquarters with recently acquired franchise business Mowbot in North Carolina, and relocating to McKinney, Texas.

With a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Innovation Fund, Robin Autopilot plans to relocate 17 positions and create 58 new jobs over the next three years, bringing their total number of employees to 75, the company reports. The positions include back office, sales, software development and engineers. Robin’s new headquarters initially will occupy 10,000 square feet in McKinney, with options for expansion.

“As we continue our rapid expansion and strengthen our leadership position in robotic solutions for the lawn care industry, we are excited to be moving our headquarters to McKinney, where we will have ample room to grow,” says Logan Fahey, Robin Autopilot CEO. “We thank the MEDC board and everyone else who helped make this relocation possible, and we look forward to becoming a proud member of the McKinney community.”

Robin Autopilot acquired Mowbot, the robotic lawn care franchise business, in April of this year. As part of the acquisition, Robin announced a newly expanded partnership with Husqvarna Group (Husqvarna is a major investor in Mowbot and a current equity partner of Robin Autopilot).
