DeWalt and the NHL’s Nashville Predators have announced a partnership that will make DeWalt the Official Hand Tools, Power Tools and Outdoor Power Equipment Partner of the Predators.
In addition, the Predators and DeWalt sponsorship will also include arena signage and assets and VIP experiences to engage with DeWalt customers. DeWalt will also provide the Predators organization with DeWalt-branded tools to be used for upgrades and renovations to Bridgestone Arena – home to the Nashville Predators.
The announcement comes just days prior to the opening of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) 2021 convention and trade show, which is taking place at Music City Center in Nashville. To kick-off the start of NECA and to recognize the tradespeople in Nashville, DeWalt will host the weekend’s pre-season game on October 9. The DeWalt logo will be displayed outside the arena and fans will have the opportunity to receive DeWalt hats, water bottles and koozies.
“People working in skilled trades like construction are key to the economic health of the city of Nashville, and account for 130,000 jobs in the state of Tennessee,” says Tony Merritt, vice president of sponsorships at Stanley Black & Decker, which acquired DeWalt in 1960. “As the first-ever Tools sponsor of the Nashville Predators, DeWalt is proud to partner with one of the most respected hockey organizations in the U.S. to celebrate the tradespeople of Nashville this month and throughout the season.”
