Polaris Launches All-Electric Ranger XP Kinetic UTV

Polaris has introduced its Ranger XP Kinetic UV, which features a new electric powertrain that’s a result of the company’s partnership with Zero Motorcycles. In addition, the company has announced a multi-year partnership with Octane Lending to provide its customers with a seamless, digital process for financing powersports purchases.

The Ranger XP Kinetic is available as a three-seat model and offered in Premium and Ultimate trims. The Premium trim is equipped with 14.9 kWh of lithium-ion battery capacity and offers an estimated range of up-to 45 miles, while the Ultimate trim boasts 29.8 kWh of battery capacity and offers an estimated range of up-to 80 miles. The Ultimate trim also features a 7-in. infotainment screen powered by Ride Command technology and dash mounted speakers.

In addition to high and low gear, Ranger XP Kinetic also has three drive modes for maximum versatility optimized to driving conditions and range management:

• Eco+: Optimizes torque and top speed for maximum range and light duty jobs;
• Standard: Optimizes throttle response for everyday driving and moderate-sized jobs; and
• Sport: Optimizes throttle response for spirited driving and the toughest jobs.

Specific specs and features include:

• 110 hp and 140lb-ft. of instant torque for hauling and towing heavy loads over rough terrain
• The ability to tow 2,500 lbs. and haul 1,250lbs.
• 14-inches of ground clearance; 10 in. of suspension travel
• 29-in., 8-ply Pro Armor X-Terrain tires
• A 12V cargo box outlet for powering accessories like sprayers or charging portable batteries
• Standard combined Level 1 / Level 2 EV charge cord, allowing owners to charge from a 120V or 240V outlet
• Available 7-inch infotainment screen

Ranger XP Kinetic will be available for reservation beginning December 1, and first shipments begin in summer 2022, Polaris reports. MSRP: $24,999 for the Premium trim; $29,999 for the Ultimate trim.

As noted earlier, Polaris also has announced a multi-year partnership with Octane Lending with a goal to provide its customers with a seamless, digital process for financing powersports purchases. Through the partnership, which is effective January 1, 2022, Polaris customers and dealers can take advantage of Octane’s digital lending experience to finance Polaris Sportsman, Ranger, RZR and General off-road vehicles, Polaris snowmobiles, Indian Motorcycle and Slingshot vehicles.

Octane reports that its customer-centric digital loan origination system dramatically improves the buying process “because it makes loan applications, approvals and documentation instantaneous. Polaris dealers will benefit from Octane’s digital tools, including its soft-pull credit product, Safe Rate, and its fast, easy lending process, which allow dealers to close deals in under five minutes.”

In addition, through its in-house lender Roadrunner Financial, Octane notes that it “provides full-spectrum credit coverage for prime, first-time, and credit-worthy customers just outside the traditional ‘prime’ range, enabling even more enthusiasts to purchase a Polaris vehicle. Coverage can include guaranteed back-end to allow customers to finance related products like gap insurance, extended service contracts, and parts and labor. As a result of this partnership, Polaris dealers will also enjoy competitive rates and flexible terms for their customers.”
