Hutson Dealership in Kentucky Continues to Assess Tornado Damage
Hutson, Inc., a dealership with 29 locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee, notes on its Facebook page that it’s continuing to assess the damage to its Mayfield, Kentucky location. The Mayfield location took on heavy damage as a result of the tornadoes that struck western Kentucky and other areas the weekend of December 10.
On December 11, the company posted: “Our Mayfield location was severely damaged in last night’s storm. We are blessed that all our employees have been accounted for. Others have not been as fortunate. Our thoughts, prayers and efforts are with the community right now. The current focus is on the people of the community. Tomorrow we will assess the situation on how to continue serving the area while our Mayfield location is closed.”
More recently, Hutson posted: “We’re still working to assess the damage and take inventory at our Mayfield location. If you had equipment on our lot during the recent storms, we will reach out soon to discuss the next course of action.”
The company noted that its Princeton, Kentucky location was “back up and running” on December 14.
In other Hutson news, the company has announced that it will be closing its Grand Ledge, Michigan location on December 31, but will begin construction on a new, state-of-the-art facility in Charlotte, Michigan in early 2022.
“This facility will provide larger and better-equipped service areas, superior parts storage and a spacious showroom,” states the company. “Our current Charlotte location will be open during the construction phase to serve our customers. Our Grand Ledge team will be joining Charlotte to continue providing superior customer service.”
Hutson was founded in 1928 and acquired its first John Deere dealership in 1990. Its product offerings include lawn & garden, commercial worksite, ag management solutions, and commercial application products. In addition to John Deere, Hutson also carries Billy Goat, Honda, Stihl and other product lines.
