Milwaukee Tool Introduces M18 Fuel Mower

Milwaukee Tool has officially introduced its M18 Fuel Mower, a 21-in., dual-battery, self-propelled mower that is designed to meet the performance needs of the landscape-maintenance professional. The M18 Fuel Mower will launch in April 2022, Milwaukee states, and will carry an MSRP of $999. OPE Business first reported on the upcoming M18 Fuel Mower last August.

The M18 Fuel Mower features Milwaukee’s PowerState brushless motor; RedLink Plus Intelligence, which allows the mower to achieve an instantaneous throttle response for blade and drive motors, increasing control and productivity; steel deck design; 3-in-1 capability for bagging, mulching and rear side discharge; single point height adjustment; rear wheel drive paired with variable speed self-propelled functionality; and front and side lights.

Other specs include:

  • Max blade speed: 3300 RPM
  • Self-propelled speed: 0.1 – 4.0 mph
  • Cutting width: 21 in.
  • Height adjustment: 1 -4 in. (7 Positions – ½-in. increments)
  • High lift mode
  • 3-yr. warranty

The company has posted a video of the new M18 Fuel mower here.

“When we set out to develop our first mower, we focused on designing a solution that could outperform gas mowers and deliver a superior cut quality. Leveraging our M18 Fuel technology, the electronic package delivers the power to maintain blade speed in demanding applications without bogging down while also offering instantaneous throttle response on both blade and drive motors for ultimate control,” says Tony Buxton, senior product manager for Milwaukee Tool. “We will continue to deliver innovation to the outdoor power equipment market through extensive user research combined with our technology leadership in battery, motor and electronics.”

The M18 Fuel mower kit includes two M18 RedLithium HD12.0 Batteries, M18 Dual Bay Simultaneous Rapid Charger, mulch plug, grass bag and rear side discharge chute. Available accessories include an M18 Fuel 21-in. mower blade and 21-in. high lift mower blade as well as a mower cover.

To meet performance expectations in certain high-demand applications while maintaining system compatibility, states Milwaukee Tool, the M18 Fuel Mower requires the simultaneous use of two M18 RedLithium batteries. Users can expect up to 60 minutes of run time on two fully charged M18 RedLithium High Output HD12.0 batteries while using the self-propelled function at 3 mph and removing 1 in. of most types of grass, the company states.
