Husqvarna Group: ‘Record Order Backlog’

Husqvarna Group is reporting that while demand for its products is strong across all of its core markets and product categories, escalating global supply-chain challenges are “resulting in shortages of certain components and longer lead times.”

Husqvarna states that it expects reduced production for the first quarter of 2022.

“This development is affecting robotic mowers and lawn tractors in particular and creates a record order backlog,” the company states.

“The ongoing geopolitical situation in Europe has led to further logistical disruptions and increased costs for raw materials, energy and transportation, which will impact the operating result in the first quarter. [Husqvarna] continues to work with pricing to mitigate the effects.”

Husqvarna’s net sales for Q1 2022 is estimated to be approximately SEK 15bn (SEK 14.0bn reported in Q1 2021) including Orbit Irrigation. Husqvarna agreed to acquire Orbit, the designer and builder of watering equipment and water-optimization products, from Platinum Equity in 2021.
