Jeff Browne: 2022 40 Under 40 Award-Winner
Our 2022 40 Under 40 Awards featured young OPE leaders from across the country. In the next couple of weeks, we’ll highlight several of our 2022 award-winners here. JEFF BROWNE
Co-Owner, Northern Kentucky Equipment – Verona, Kentucky
To say last year was a “good” one for Northern Kentucky Equipment is a bit of an understatement: It achieved its first year as a $2 million-plus dealer for Ariens and Gravely (and largest in its region for lawn and garden), it was named National Dealer of the Year for Altoz (for the second time), and it had its first year as a Massey Ferguson dealer.
“All of this, and we started this business from scratch in the fall of 2018,” points out Jeff Browne.
Their success hasn’t simply been a matter luck: “They work hard demoing and promoting products,” says a nominator. “They continue to explore new ways to gain new customers. They continue to upgrade their business and their facility.”
In the last 12 months or so, Jeff and the team at Northern Kentucky Equipment has improved the dealership in various ways. “First and most importantly, we have added to an already highly skilled staff to ensure our customers and get a quick response either on the phone or in person,” says Jeff. “We also have added more parking space and additional room to store extra mowers and tractors.”
In addition, he says, “We lead by example. If there is a job to be done, no matter who it is, there is no task that is below anyone here. Some of the most rewarding days are the days you can get elbow-deep in oil and grease, working to get a machine back out in the field or yard for your customers.”
“They have grown to being one of the strongest dealers in the industry,” says a nominator. In addition to Altoz, Ariens, Gravely and Massey Ferguson, the dealership also carries Makita equipment.
