Bill Nelson Scholarship Endowment Announces 2022 Recipients

The Bill Nelson Scholarship Endowment (BNSE) has announced that it has awarded five scholarships totaling $9,500 to its 2022 class of recipients.

Recipients for the 2022 awards are:

  • Kaylee Roberts of Upper Sandusky, Ohio;
  • Rachel Racz of Gastonia, North Carolina;
  • Nadia Pahodzina of Happy Valley, Oregon;
  • RoseLynn Davis of Eugene, Oregon; and
  • Jessica Williams of De Queen, Arkansas.

The BNSE is an educational charity designed to advance the academic pursuits of employees and the children of employees who are employed by member companies of the Outdoor Power Parts & Accessories Association (OPPAA). Since 2000, the endowment has awarded 70 scholarships totaling more than $147,000 to high school and college students.

Scholarship recipients for this year represent Husqvarna and Oregon Tool and were chosen from among 24 applications received.

The BNSE is governed by five Trustees: Sue Chaney, K-C Sales; Britton Harrold, Husqvarna; and Ed Nelson, Rotary Corporation.
