Frattallone’s Hardware & Garden adds its 22nd Minnesota store

The owners of Everson’s Hardware in Waconia, Minnesota, have agreed to sell their business and operating assets to Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG), the multi-brand retailer operating more than 140 hardware stores, home centers and lumber yards in 16 states. Everson’s Hardware will be rebranded and operate as part of CNRG’s Frattallone’s Hardware & Garden brand.

Headquartered in Arden Hills, Minnesota, Frattallone’s Hardware & Garden operates 22 stores throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. The company, which opened its first store in 1975, is known throughout the Twin Cities for its full assortment of hardware, paint, plumbing, electrical, and lawn and garden supplies. Frattallone’s also operates the largest small-engine repair shop in the area, servicing thousands of pieces of equipment each year. CNRG acquired Frattallone’s in November 2021.

“After 56 years in business, we are excited to pass the store on to an organization with local leadership and long-standing ties to the local market,” say Deborah and Tracy Everson, the store’s previous owners. “Frattallone’s is a strong brand with an excellent reputation. They are able to provide products, services and high-quality customer service for Waconia both now and into the future. We are excited for their vision and look forward to seeing the store grow.”

On the store’s Facebook page, the Eversons also note: “This was a tough decision, but we know that this is the right time for our family to transition out of the store and experience new adventures. We are incredibly grateful to this community and each of our team members….Although you won’t see the Everson family members, you will see the smiling faces of our current team members and will have the opportunity to meet new ones who will greet you at the door and help you with your projects.”

The newly rebranded Waconia store will offer a full assortment of hardware, plumbing, electrical, outdoor power equipment sales & service, grilling, and paint as well as an expanded garden center.

“We couldn’t be happier for this opportunity to build upon the foundation that the Eversons have built, and we look forward to expanding the store’s product and service offerings going forward. We are proud to add all Everson’s team members to the Frattallone’s team,” says Mike Frattallone, CNRG senior vice president.

CNRG is always seeking growth opportunities, both in new markets and, as is the case here, where we can add stores complementary to one of our existing brands,” says John Sieggreen, CNRG president. “Mike Frattallone and his team have been a great addition to CNRG and we will continue to look for ways to expand their footprint in the future.”

With the acquisition of its 22nd store location, Frattallone’s becomes the 18th brand operated by CNRG. CNRG is a wholly owned subsidiary of hardlines-distributor Orgill, which services more than 12,000 retail hardware stores, home centers, professional lumber dealers and farm stores throughout the U.S. and Canada, and around the world.
