OPE magazine’s new awards program will recognize outstanding dealerships

 

First OPE All-Star Dealer Awards
to be presented at GIE+EXPO 2015

This month, Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) is launching a new program that each year will recognize (and reward) those OPE dealerships that have managed their businesses to exceptional performance. While sales and profit growth will be key in determining the winners of the new OPE All-Star Dealer Awards, so will outstanding performance in such critical areas as service department operations, customer service, employee training, marketing, and industry advocacy.

Recognizing that exceeding customer expectations has become firmly integrated into the culture of most OPE readers, the All-Star Dealer Awards program has been designed to help dealers continually improve business operations from year to year simply by entering the competition. The contest entry questionnaire itself is set up to provide entrants an annual benchmark of their business operations. It does this by focusing on those operational areas such as the planning, marketing, and training initiatives that add up to customer experience and satisfaction — hallmarks of well-run businesses.

The awards program will culminate with an opening reception, themed awards banquet, including professional entertainment, and a late-night after-party. These festivities will be held during GIE+EXPO 2015.

Added incentives for OPE dealers to become involved include a special market data report on equipment trends for all entrants. Winners will receive a full marketing package, including topical videos on best practices, press releases for distribution in their markets, and award program decals.

The OPE All-Star Dealer Awards program is open to all OPE dealers — there’s no advantage to representing any specific manufacturer’s line or lines.
