Blount hosts Power Distributors for national sales meeting
The first unified Power Distributors national sales meeting was welcomed by Blount International to Kansas City, Mo., May 5-7. A global manufacturer and marketer of parts, equipment and accessories for forestry, lawn and garden, farm, ranch and agriculture, Blount International is the parent company of Oregon, a leading brand in outdoor power and an important manufacturing partner to Power Distributors.
This event marked the first time that Power Distributors brought together the sales and marketing teams from each of the newly combined regional service distribution organizations: Atlantic Power of New York, Central Power of Ohio and Florida, Preferred Power of North Carolina, and SEDCO of Georgia.
“It is an exciting time for Power Distributors,” said Matthew Finn, president of Power Distributors. “We had a busy year in 2014, and this is continuing into 2015 as we push ahead with our expansion plans.”
The Power Distributors sales, marketing and management teams were joined by the Oregon sales team for many activities, including tours of the Oregon lawnmower blade factory, tours of the Kansas City distribution center and assembly facility, extensive hands-on product training, and in-depth “voice-of-the-customer” roundtable discussions. These activities provided the first real opportunity for the full Power Distributors group to interact face to face with each other and key representatives from a valuable manufacturing partner.
“Power Distributors success is built on a combination of its strong product offerings and its people,” added Finn. “The opportunity to visit Kansas City and learn about Oregon products and applications directly from the manufacturer is invaluable. This knowledge gives our sales and management team the ability to make sure we have the latest Oregon products and best-trained sales and support team in the industry.”
